With dozens of industrial parks (IPs) in operation and hundreds of thousands of workers employed within them, Dong Nai has emerged as one of Vietnam’s leading industrial hubs. Amid this rapid development, many enterprises in the province are placing greater emphasis on dialogue, mediation, and listening to employees’ voices as a fundamental approach to building harmonious, stable labor relations for long-term growth.
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, more than 1,100 enterprises organized workplace dialogues in 2025. Through these exchanges, employers and grassroots trade unions promptly addressed a wide range of issues related to employee benefits, policies, and working conditions. Many companies have also improved welfare policies, increasing allowances such as attendance bonuses, performance rewards, innovation incentives, and childcare support to encourage workers to remain committed to their jobs.
In addition, employee conferences and online feedback channels have enabled workers to voice their opinions openly and constructively. Internal mediation efforts, supported by trade unions, have been strengthened to resolve conflicts at an early stage. Listening to and incorporating employee feedback not only reflects corporate responsibility but also fosters trust and long-term engagement between employers and employees, contributing to sustainable development.
As Dong Nai continues to expand its IPs and strives to become a centrally governed city, it will need a large workforce to support its development. In this context, dialogue, mediation, and listening to employees' opinions must be elevated to a strategic priority and implemented in a more coordinated and substantive manner so that employees can work and contribute with peace of mind, helping enterprises grow more strongly. First and foremost, enterprises must establish regular and transparent dialogue mechanisms with clear regulations, avoiding superficial practices. The content of these discussions should closely address practical issues such as wages, working conditions, social welfare, and career development opportunities. The role of grassroots trade unions should also be strengthened as a reliable "bridge" with sufficient capacity to represent employees, provide feedback, and protect their legitimate rights and interests.
At the same time, digital transformation should be further leveraged to receive and handle employee feedback. Online platforms that allow for anonymous submissions when necessary can empower workers to speak up more confidently. Mediation efforts should be professionalized, with trained mediators equipped with knowledge of labor law, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution techniques. Local authorities, for their part, need to enhance oversight and support for enterprises to ensure compliance with regulations, while intervening promptly in complex labor disputes.
Above all, building a strong corporate culture, particularly one centered on listening, respect, sharing, and collaboration, is essential. Employees should be recognized as the core stakeholders in this process. When their voices are genuinely heard and addressed, workers are more likely to feel valued and understood, motivating them to dedicate themselves to their work, improve their skills, and contribute innovative ideas. This undertaking, in turn, will help enterprises thrive and support Dong Nai’s continued robust development in the years ahead.
