Promoting the core role in building connection and mobilizing people’s strength to serve the people

On October 10, Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai province, together with Vu Long Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Bom Bo commune, attended the 1st Congress of the VFF Committee of Bom Bo commune, tenure 2025–2030.

Bom Bo commune currently has 16 hamlets with a population of over 27,000 people, representing 22 ethnic groups.

During the previous term, the VFF Committee of Bom Bo commune and its member organizations proactively conducted 9 rounds of supervision and social feedback, focusing on practical issues directly related to people’s livelihoods. They mobilized contributions from local residents to build 43 Great Solidarity Houses with a total cost of over 3.6 billion VND, and connected resources worth more than 1.1 billion VND to award scholarships to disadvantaged students and provide essential goods to struggling families, among other meaningful activities.

In Bom Bo commune, where 65% of the working-age population engages in agriculture, its Commune VFF Committee has connected financially stable farming households with those in need. Support has included the provision of seedlings, livestock, and technical guidance, helping disadvantaged farmers improve their gardens and secure stable employment within their communities.

At the congress, 100 delegates representing all social strata of the commune reached a consensus to elect 57 members to the Commune VFF Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure, and nominated two delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial VFF Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure. The delegates also voted to adopt the congress resolution.

At its first conference, the VFF Committee of Bom Bo commune (2025–2030 tenure) reached a consensus to elect the Standing Board, including the Chairperson and Vice Chairpersons. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Vice Chairwoman of the Commune People’s Committee, was elected as Chairwoman of the Commune VFF Committee for the new tenure.

Ha Anh Dung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province, emphasized that Bom Bo commune, is a remote and far-off area in the northwest of Dong Nai Province, with a long-standing history and an indigenous community of the S’tieng ethnic people.

He urged the Commune VFF Committee to maintain unity in thought and action, strengthen its role as a direct bridge between the people and the Party committees and local authorities, and consolidate the great national solidarity bloc from the grassroots level. He also called on the Committee to promote its core role in mobilizing and connecting the people, drawing strength from the people to care for the people.

Comrade Ha Anh Dung also requested the Commune VFF Committee to continuously enhance the effectiveness of grassroots supervision and social feedback, apply information technology in its operations, and actively build a “Digital Front” model. He emphasized the importance of developing a dedicated, people-oriented team of grassroots Front officials, and comprehensively renewing communication and mobilization methods to make patriotic movements and campaigns more relatable and practical for every citizen. He also encouraged organizing smaller, community-based models closely aligned with people’s daily lives.

During the program, the Presidium of the 1st Congress of the VFF Committee of Bom Bo commune (2025–2030 tenure) launched a donation campaign to support flood-affected residents. Delegates contributed over 100 million VND, which was subsequently transferred to the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province.

As of now, all 95 communes and wards across Dong Nai province have successfully completed the organization of their 1st Congresses of the VFF Committees at the commune level for the 2025–2030 tenure.
