(ĐN)- The first session of the 9th provincial People’s Council (PC) in the 2016-2021 term opened on June 15 with a focus on high-level personnel, including the elections of Chairman and Vice Chairpersons of PC and People’s Committee; Heads of several committees under PC, members of People’s Committee, and Jurors of the provincial People's Court.
Opening the session, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Van Tu said the session will focus discussion on high-level personnel at State-run agencies in Dong Nai in 2016-2021 period. He also called for deputies to elect good leaders to lead the province in performing socio-economic development tasks.
The session concluded in the afternoon of the same day after a half day of working.
Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee has been elected as the new Chairman of the People's Council with 98.85 percent of approval votes.
Dinh Quoc Thai was re-elected as Chairman the provincial People’s Committee, with 86 out of 86 votes.
