(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony was held on Saturday to review 70-year history and celebrate 40th founding anniversary of Dong Nai Newspaper.  

The event was attended by Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman Pham Ngoc Tuan of People’s Council, Vice Chairpersons Tran Van Vinh and Nguyen Hoa Hiep of People’s Committee, and Head of Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Manh Trung.

Addressing at the ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong praised the contributions made by the newspaper to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development during the past years. He also stressed that the newspaper’s journalists should continue their efforts to improve their professional skills in order to meet the public’s increasing demand.

Editor-In-Chief of the newspaper Tran Huy Thanh reviewed the history of the newspaper and its achievements over the last 40 years since its founding in 1976. Accordingly, Dong Nai Newspaper has made incessant efforts to improve its quality both in form and content. The newspaper is making great efforts to overcome difficulties and continue to perform its political task to disseminate Party guidelines and State policies among people from all walks of life, along with promptly inform news and articles related to politics, economics, culture, social activities, etc.

On this occasion, Dong Nai province’s authorities presented a laudatory writing to Dong Nai Newspaper. Many collectives and individuals were also awarded certificates of merit by the provincial People’s Committee for their contributions to the newspaper over the past 40 years.
