Viet Nam welcomes Japanese businesses

The Vietnamese Government would continue creating favourable conditions for Japanese businesses to invest and operate in Viet Nam, particularly in the fields of seaports, support industry, energy and education, said President Truong Tan Sang.

Sang made the statement yesterday while receiving a delegation from the Kansai Economic Federation, led by its chairman Mori Shosuke.

The federation's activities played an important role in promoting economic co-operation between the two countries, Sang said. He spoke highly of its co-ordination with relevant ministries and agencies in Viet Nam in organising the fifth Viet Nam-Kansai economic forum scheduled for today in central Da Nang City.

Shosuke said businesses in Kansai region were supporting young Vietnamese engineers on probation in Japan to contribute to high quality human resource training for Viet Nam.

He expressed interest in the investment attraction mechanism of Viet Nam in industrial zones in northern Hai Phong City and southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province and affirmed to actively introduce the attraction of investment environment of Viet Nam to all members of the federation.
