Activities to mark Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Journalist’s Association organized a ceremony on June 20 to mark the 86th Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day and award the 22th Golden Pen Prize to the winners.

The ceremony was attended by Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi, Vice Chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga and Nguyen Thanh Tri, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien.  

 

Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Toi praised the contributions made by Dong Nai’s press to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development over the past time. He hoped that local press agencies will continue to uphold the glorious traditions of the revolutionary press founded by President Ho Chi Minh and develop more strongly and firmly, deserving to be a sharp ideological weapon, the voice of the Party, State, mass organizations and a reliable forum of the people; the agencies need more efforts to stimulate patriotic movements, encourage renewal achievements and actively fight against corruption and social evils; the journalists will also work harder to improve their professional skills in order to meet the public’s increasing demand.   

 

At the ceremony, the Dong Nai Journalist’s Association awarded the Golden Pen Prize to the journalists. Accordingly, Dong Nai Newspaper won a first prize, a second prize, third and consolidation prizes.

 

On this occasion, the Association honored journalist Tuong Lam from Dong Nai Radio and Television, who got C prize at 2011 National Press Prize.
