The price of cooking oil has dropped by 500 VND–700 VND per litre.
The price of chicken eggs has also dropped by 700 VND –1,000 VND per 10 eggs.
The price of sugar has fallen 500 VND–1,000 VND per kg.
The prices of vegetables like cabbage, gourd, salad and others have dropped by 1,000 VND –2,000 VND per kg.
The prices of various kinds of pork have dropped by 1,000 VND–2,000 VND per kg.
In addition, gas suppliers like Saigon Petro and Thai Duong Gas have announced that a drop in the retail price of cooking gas took place on May 20, 2011. The price of cooking gas fell by 6,000 VND to 10,000 VND per cylinder.
The retail price for a 12-kg cooking gas cylinder in Bien Hoa city now ranges from 372,000 VND to 390,000 VND, depending on suppliers.
