When the students have yet to know what happened, one from the gang took out a scimitar and wildly slashed on Duy’s head.
Duy raised his hands to cover his head and ran away. He also managed to escape from the scimitar thrown by the gangster.
Seeing the scimitar fell on the ground, Phu attempted to pick it up and threw it away, but the gang had already grabbed it and slashed on Phu’s body. Fortunately, the slash only caused him a slight injury.
The gang fled when nearby residents shouted for help.
But they managed to slash Tam on his hip while they were running away.
The injured students were immediately taken to Dong Nai Hospital of Pediatrics.
At the hospital, Duy said one female classmate had threatened to ask her brother to beat him up as he had earlier denounced her gambling in class to their teacher.
Duy was not convinced until he actually met the girl’s brother at the bicycle parking lot after school.
The man accused Duy of insulting him, and forced him to apologize. The man and his gang then chased and slashed Duy and his friends afterward.
Pham Xuan Duong, Duy’s father, said he could not believe such a tiny issue could almost kill his son.
“I don’t know what would happen if my son’s friends weren’t there with him,” he said.
Bien Hoa police are investigating.
