(ĐN)- On April 12, Mr. Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC), paid a working visit to Dong Nai province to inspect the implementation of the Politburo’s conclusion on the 2011 socio-economic situation as well as the Government’s Resolution on curbing inflation, stabilizing the macro economy and ensuring social welfare.

At the working session, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai reported that Dong Nai organized meetings to deploy the Government’s Resolution 11 on major solutions to curb inflation, stabilise the macro economy and ensure social security. Accordingly, the province worked out an action plan for implementing the resolution effectively with a focus on major tasks: tightening the monetary policy, cutting public investment and reducing State overspending; stepping up production and business, encouraging exports, restraining trade deficit and ensuring social security, etc.
According to provincial leader, the province saw an economic growth of 13.1% in the first quarter of 2011, while the industrial, agricultural and service production also saw a year-on-year increase.
At the working session, Mr. Truong Tan Sang praised the province’s efforts to deploy action plans to effectively implement the resolution and maintain economic growth in the first quarter. He noted that the province should focus on solutions to develop traffic infrastructure, ensure providing stable source of electricity for enterprises investment, and support industries while reducing the trade surplus and increasing the training of human resources.
On this occasion, the Politburo member visited and worked at Tin Nghia Corp and some local state enterprises.
