The annual event begins on April 15 and last through May 15, with the aim of strengthening the roles and responsibilities of managers, enterprises and consumers in food safety.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and Head of the province’s Steering Board for Food Hygiene and Safety Huynh Thi Nga called for strengthening communication activities to improve food hygiene awareness among food manufacturers, processors and people.
She also stressed that inspection activities will be strengthened during this month with participants from all relevant departments and sectors across the province to tackle food safety and hygiene issues.
