So far, the province has brought more than 4,000 hectares of pepper, mango, durian under this water saving irrigation method, a two-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

The benefits of water-saving irrigation practices are increase in crop yield, productivity, savings in irrigation water, input items like fertilizer and labour… Water-saving irrigation system can cut water use by up to 50 per cent and reduce fuel cost by 30-40 per cent compared to conventional irrigation method.
