(ĐN)- A delegation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son on April 4 paid a working visit to Dong Nai province. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai warmly received the delegation.

Deputy Minister (L) hands VND10 mil to the province’s Fund for the Poor.

Dong Nai has obtained remarkable achievements in foreign affairs over the past years, helping itself expand international relations both in economy and culture, constantly raise its position in the region, said Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai. Positive results were also seen in efforts to call for foreign direct investment (FDI). So far, Dong Nai has attracted more than US$19 billion in FDI, foreign enterprises contributed to more than 70 percent of the provincial GDP.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister highly appreciated the province’s foreign relations activities in the past time. He also stressed the need for the province to focus on efficiency in external relations, particularly the ties with people in neighbouring and traditionally friendly countries. The Ministry will help Dong Nai to complete documents to submit to UNESCO to recognize the Cat Tiên National Park as the World Natural Heritage Site.

On this occasion, the delegation presented VND10 million to the province’s Fund for the Poor.
