(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee has recently asked departments, agencies and localities to develop action plans to respond to the Earth Hour 2011.
Accordingly, a meeting to support the event will be organized at the province’s Conference Centre on March 26 with the participation of around 3,000 youth members and students. Local authorities in the province will encourage people, especially those in urban areas to join in the campaign and switch off their lights and other unnecessary electric devices.

The Electricity of Vietnam in Dong Nai (EVN Dong Nai) will also turn off ornamental lights in public areas including buildings, amusement parks and advertising panels.
Earth Hour 2011 not only mobilizes the world to switch the electricity off for one hour but also raise public awareness of saving power and using it more efficiently to reduce the negative impact of climate change.
