(ĐN)- Two young women were killed Wednesday afternoon when their motorcycle was struck by a train in Bien Hoa city.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. at a railroad crossing at milepost 1689 km + 800 in Bien Hoa city’s Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province. There are no barricades to warn drivers of an oncoming train when crossing.
The motorcycle driven by Bach Thi Hong with Trinh Thi Kia on the back seat, was attempting to cross the tracks when Hong failed to yield, and was struck by train SE7 traveling from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh city. They were pronounced deceased at the scene and both the young victims were from Quang Ngai province.
The crash is still under investigation.
