(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s Youth Union on Jan 9 launched a festive day for blood donation among young people at the Provincial Conference Centre to start the Year of Youth 2011.
406 young people were selected to donate blood after conducting the screening tests.
Mr. Bui Xuan Thong, Secretary of Dong Nai Youth Union, said the day will transmit a message of sharing blood for community’s health to encourage young people as well as local residents to donate blood to save people’s lives.
The day, jointly held by the Dong Nai Youth Union, the province’s Red Cross Association and health sector, collected 406 blood units.
