Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front’s activities strengthened

Over the past year, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee made efforts in promoting the strength of great national unity to fulfilling its political tasks, contributing to the implementation of provincial socio-economic tasks, maintaining the political security and social safety and order. Particularly, the "Day for the Poor" campaign, the mobilization "the entire people unite to build the cultural life", the program "Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods", the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example"… launched by the Front have received positive respond from people and got the encouraging results, ensuring a high consensus in society and broadening democracy in the entire society.

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Phuong applauded the achievements made by the provincial Fatherland Front Committee over the last year. He asked the Front to enhance the propaganda, dissemination and education of laws and the Governments policy for local people. He also emphasized the need for the Front to increase its capacity and create mechanisms to enable the people to fully exercise their rights to mastery as well as intensify and raise the effectiveness of communication activities aiming to raise awareness of social obligations and responsibilities among people.

At the ceremony, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to 47 collectives and 36 individuals for their contributions to the front’s activities in 2010.
