Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong highlighted the important role of the Vietnamese intellectuals in the development of the country in general and the DUSTA in particular.
Accordingly, in the next term, the union will continue to concentrate on strengthening its staff, mobilizing more intellectuals to contribute to the province’s modernization and industrialization cause.
The union now has 24 member associations with more than 10,000 people.
At the conference, a new presidium was elected with 30 members. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan was re-elected as Chairman of the Union.
On this occasion, 57 collectives and individuals were honored by Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and 22 others get certificates of merit of the provincial Peoples Committee.
