Four communes in Dong Nai, namely Vinh Tan and Hieu Liem in Vinh Cuu district, Bac Son and Song Trau in Vinh Cuu district, have been declared free of blue-ear pig disease.
The announcement was made on October 21 by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh.
Provincial authorities are working closely with relevant agencies to implement measures against the epidemic. Other 11 infected communes in the province are expected to soon be declared free of the epidemic.
As of July, 24, 15 communes in Dong Nai have been infected with blue-ear pig disease and over 25,000 sick pigs have been destroyed.
