(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony was held in Dong Nai on September 1 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). On this occasion, Dong Nai also held its fourth Patriotic Emulation Congress to review its performance, commendations and exceptional individuals in the period of 2005-2009. Attending the ceremony were the provincial leaders, representatives of local relevant agencies, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Peoples armed forces and 550 collectives and individuals representing exemplary role models in the patriotic emulation movement over the past five years.

At the event, the Chairman praised the collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the emulation campaign over the past five years. He also called on exceptional units and individuals to continue to promote the achievements gained in the past years and play an important role as driving forces boosting patriotic emulation movements in the next five years.
On the occasion, 55 outstanding individuals and collectives involved in patriotic emulation movements were honored and awarded Labor Orders, Certificates of Merit, and other honorary titles. The province was also presented a government flag for its achievements in the emulation campaign in the past five years.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai launched a patriotic emulation movement for the next five-year.
