(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Employment Centre, under the Provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, on Sunday organised a job transaction floor for the first time to solve the labor shortage in local Taiwanese companies as per request of Dong Nai branch of the Taiwanese Business Association in Vietnam.
(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Employment Centre, under the Provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, on Sunday organised a job transaction floor for the first time to solve the labor shortage in local Taiwanese companies as per request of Dong Nai branch of the Taiwanese Business Association in Vietnam.
The transaction floor drew the participation of 9 Taiwanese busineses including textile and garment, wood processing companies with nearly 1,900 job opportunities, of which, over 90 per cent were unskilled jobs.
According to the job transaction floor’s organizing board, only 700 laborers participated in the job transaction floor. During the session, 165 laborers have been recruited and over 1,000 people accessed to website www.vieclamdongnai.net to get job information but most of whom wanted to find job opportunities in Auto and Motorcycle Accessories companies.
As much as local laborrers donot want to work in Taiwanese Companies due to low salaries, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Employment Centre Mao Quoc Trung said. They said that salaries of workers in Taiwanese Companies are below VND 2 million a month which are low and insufficient for living.
Now, there are about 400 Taiwanese busineses operating in Dong Nai. Currently, there is a shortfall of about 20,000 workers in local Taiwanese businesses, mainly low skill jobs. The hardest hit by the labor shortage are companies such as Pou Sung, Ngoc Sinh, Viet Tuong, Eclat, Vi Hao…
At present, local Taiwanese businesses target their recruiting efforts toward other provinces including Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan.
