A person died from malaria in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- A 41-year-old man died of malaria at Dong Nai General Hospital. The victim was a farmer who lived in La Nga commune, Dinh Quan district. He was hospitalised in Dinh Quan district by the end of June.

(ĐN)- A 41-year-old man died of malaria at Dong Nai General Hospital. The victim was a farmer who lived in La Nga commune, Dinh Quan district. He was hospitalised in Dinh Quan district by the end of June. He was later moved to Dong Nai General Hospital for better treatment. However, he died due to delay in seeking medical care.

According to statistics by the Dong Nai Preventive Medicine Centre, 187 cases of malaria were reported in the province in the first six months of this year, nearly 100 of whom were found to be positive for malaria parasites. The majority of patients are in Vinh Cuu and Dinh Quan districts.
