(ĐN)- Recently, Nhon Trach district’s Phuoc Khanh commune has been chosen to organize a festival day of clay pig beating to raise fund for poor students. At the festival, Nhon Trach district’s Study Encouragement Association raised more than VND340 million from 940 clay pigs. The money will be used to help poor pupils continue their studies and award scholarships to outstanding students.
As known, Nhon Trach district’s Study Encouragement Association in coordination with Office of Education and Training launched a program to raise money for study encouragement fund by mobilizing locals to put money in their clay pigs. Accordingly, Phuoc Khanh commune registered to raise nearly 1,000 clay pigs.
