(ĐN)- A ceremony was recently held in Long Khanh town to inaugurate a Monument in commemoration of fallen soldiers of battalion 440. This is one of the activities to welcome the 35th anniversary of the liberation of Long Khanh town (April 21).

The construction of the project started in January this year. The total cost of the construction was around VND 1 billion and the funding came from the town’s budget.
During the struggle for national independence and reunification, more than 700 soldiers of Battalion 440 under Regiment 9 of Division 304 laid down their lives.
