Also present at the conference was Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong.

Over the past five years, the Dong Nai Labour Federation and trade union organisations have joined hand to promote and encourage laborers to actively participate in emulation movements. As a result, a total of more than 250,000 people have registered in scientific research works and inventions that brought benefits worth over VND 270 billion to the province.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Hong Phuong stressed the need to step up the patriotic emulation movement and promote the campaign to “study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example” in the coming time. He also called for greater efforts to better promote and encourage local laborers to participate in emulation movements.
At the conference, 92 units and 110 individuals were honored and awarded with certificates of merit for their outstanding results in patriotic emulation movements in the 2005-2010 period.
