(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Farmers’ Association announced that Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company agreed to pay additional VND 8 billion in compensation for affected farmers in 4 communes of Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts. Accordingly, the total compensation for affected farmers in these two districts of Dong Nai went up VND 15 billion. However, the Provincial Farmers’ Association said that this compensation was much lower than the losses suffered by farmers of these areas due to pollution.
