(ĐN)- Dong Nai Youth Union launched Youth Month 2010 at the province’s Sport-Culture Complex on February 28 with the participation of nearly 5,000 young people. The event was attended by Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the provincial Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga.

Accordingly, union members from Dong Nai province will take part in environmental projects that will include planting trees, collecting rubbish from streets, schools and public places, holding environmental painting contests, etc.
On this occasion, the province’s youth union awarded 10 scholarships worth VND1 million each to poor students, visited and presented gifts valued at VND300,000 each to poor youths.
As known, during Youth Month 2010, 63 cities and provinces will hold 4 green Sundays, plant 1 million trees and 100 hectares of forest, and ensure a clean environment in the areas surrounding Cau, Nhue and Dong Nai bridges and other polluted areas. Ten job fairs will be held, 3,000 officials will be trained in career counseling, and about VND400 billion in loan capital will be made available to assist young people to start their own business.
