Dong Nai marks 55th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s medical sector held a meeting at the province’s Sport-Culture Complex on Feb. 26 to mark the 55th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians Day (February 27). The meeting was attended by Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairman and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and Huynh Thi Nga.

At the meeting, 22 outstanding doctors who are awarded “People’s Physician” and “Meritorious Physician” titles were honored for their contributions over the last year. On this occasion, the sector presented medals to 93 other people’s physicians and meritorious physicians for their efforts for peoples health care and protection; Dong Nai General Hospital received excellent emulation flag of Ministry of Health.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga praised Dong Nai medical sector’s achievements in recent years and urged the sector to focus on the prevention and control of epidemics, as well as building an effective and capable medical sector. She expressed her hope that the medical officials and workers across the province to put a good deal of effort into providing good healthcare services to patients.
