(ĐN)- On March 5, Dong Nai provincial Women Union held a ceremony to honor 135 outstanding individuals and collectives for their contributions to develop womens movements and raise the quality of activities of womens associations at all levels. Attending the ceremony was Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong, Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh.

According to the report from the Union, over the past five years, its officials and members have actively participated in the communication campaigns to promote the emulation movement “Women actively study, creatively work and nurture happy families” and the campaign Studying and following President Ho Chi Minhs moral example. Particularly, many efforts have been done to support women under difficult circumstances, help them to stabilize production and improve living condition, present scholarships to poor members’ children, etc.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong praised efforts made by the union and its grassroots units and hoped that the union will continue its efforts to proactively understood women’s demand and aspiration, develop core members as a motive force for the strong development of women’s movements in the province.
