(ĐN)- A ground-breaking ceremony was held at Long Thanh district’s Long Phuoc commune on March 21 to start the construction of the Tan Mai-Mien Dong (Eastern) paper mill, with a total investment capital of VND2,500 billion.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Nam Hai, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh and leaders of local departments and branches.
The mill covering 54 ha will produce printing paper with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons. It is expected to put into operation on 2012.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, Dong Nai Branch of Vietinbank and Tan Mai Group signed an agreement to provide capital to the project.
On this occasion, the group donated VND1.8 billion to outstanding poor children in Long Thanh district.
