(ĐN)- In the last Lunar New Year festival, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee in cooperation with departments and agencies visited and presented 93,459 gifts to poor households, policy families, especially difficult ones living in the province.
Of the total, State President gave 11,511 gifts worth more than VND2.74 bil to poor households and policy families; the Front Committee raised approximately VND19 bil to buy and provide 82,000 gifts to policy beneficiaries, Vietnamese heroic mother, AO victims, single elderly people and orphans.
On this occasion, Dong Nai drew over VND61 bill from its budget to offer gifts to revolutionary contributors, beneficiaries of social policies, ethnic minority students. Besides, the province sent delegations to visit and present gifts to Truong Sa soldiers and poor households in Binh Thuan, Tien Giang Binh Phuoc provinces, etc.
