(ĐN)- So far, 98.63 per cent of households in Dong Nai have had access to electricity while 97.91 percent of rural households were connected with the national power grid, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade reported at a meeting on Thursday to discuss on the provincial electric power development strategy for 2010.

Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai asked concerned agencies in coordination with and localities’s authorities to lay the low voltage network in areas whose medium-voltage power lines have been installed, with special attention to areas inhabited by ethnic minority groups and 18 new communes of the province.
However, the big difficulty facing the Dong Nai Electricity Company in implementing the provincial electric power development strategy for 2010 is lack of investment capital.
