Biotechnology application research centre to be transformed into high-tech area

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh has recently chaired a meeting in Dong Nai to discuss a plan to transform Cam My district’s biotechnology application research centre into a high-tech area.

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh has recently chaired a meeting in Dong Nai to discuss a plan to transform Cam My district’s biotechnology application research centre into a high-tech area. As a next step, this scheme will be submitted to the Government for approval in the second quarter of this year.

The project, with a total investment capital of about VND 840 billion, will be built on more than 200 hectares in the province’s Cam My district,  with carry out research on biotechnology application to produce high-quality and high-yield plant and animal varieties. It will also apply advanced biotechnologies in diagnoses of diseases and preventive medicine, and environment protection, while helping create a link between research establishments and farmers and businesses.

The project, when completed, will attract around 10,000 scientists and technicians.
