According to report from the Provincial Police Department, police in the province have eliminated a total of 17 criminal rings, arrested 64 offenders, captured 24 wanted offenders and encouraged 5 others to give themselves up to the police within the first ten days of the implementation of a crackdown on criminal activities on the occasion of the Lunar New year of the tiger. However, the number of traffic accidents has increased dramatically during the same period.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le The Tiem applauded efforts made by the provincial police in cracking down on crimes in the province during the last year. He also urged the provincial police to effectively implement the anti-crime plan, strongly cracking down on all kinds of crimes and eliminating the formation and development of organised crimes.
