The congress gathered 84 delegates representing over 12,000 people of 16 ethnic groups residing in the district.
Tan Phu district is mountainous area where the ethnic minorities make up 8 percent of the total population in the district. Over the past years, the district has implemented effectively the Party and State policies for ethnic minority people through increasing investment in socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation; raising the living standards of ethnic minority people.
The congress outlined orientations and the tasks of the district from now until 2020 with focus on raising the intellectual standards of ethnic minority people, training ethnic minority officials and employees as well as fostering their talents to match the province’s industrialisation and modernisation processes…
At the congress, 35 delegates were selected to attend the provincial-level ethnic minority congress which will be held in the coming time.
