(ĐN)- A meeting to mark the 79th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20) was held at the meeting hall of the provincial Party Committee on Oct 20.

At the meeting, Chairwoman of the provincial Women’s Union Dao Nguyen reviewed the fine traditions of Vietnamese women and efforts made by the union in the past time. In 2009, nearly 200,000 its members were entitled “ Exellent Women”, the association helped 80,000 members access to preferential loans of more than VND200 billion, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh highlighted women’s role in contributing to the province’s development and hoped that the women will continue to promote the traditions to make a positive contribution to successfully implementing socio-economic development targets in the national industrialization and modernization period.
