(ĐN)- Various activities have been held in localities throughout Dong Nai province to mark the International Day for the Elderly, October 1.
A music performance and sports competitions took place for the Elderly in Nhon Trach district from Sept. 29-30. The two day event attracted nearly 200 participants aged over 50, competing in chess, table-tennis, badminton, cross country race, cycling and singing. In all, 42 prizes were awarded.
The same event was held in Tan Phu district from Sept. 28-29. The event attracted the participation of nearly 200 contestants, competing in chess, cross country race, physical exercises and singing. As a result, a total of 73 prizes were awarded.
On September 29, Xuan Loc district’s authorities presented 100 gifts to the elderly in the locality.
