Also present at the event were leaders of departments, agencies in the province and the district, more than 1,500 local students and youth members.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Vice Chairman called on the people to make the environment healthier and cleaner with such practical deeds as cleaning streets, planting trees and protecting water resources.

The Clean Up the World campaign was started by one Australian, Mr. Ian Kiernan, in 1989. This year over 35 million people in 120 countries will take part in the campaign.
