Activities mark National Day for AO/Dioxin Victims

(ĐN)– To mark Day for Vietnamese Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims (August 10), assistance activities for the victims have been organized in many localities in Dong Nai.

(ĐN)– To mark Day for Vietnamese Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims (August 10), assistance activities for the victims have been organized in many localities in Dong Nai. During two days, August 4-5, Dong Nai Association of Agent Orange Victims in cooperation with Tan Phu district visited and presented 80 gifts to the families of AO/dioxin victims in the district. Each gift included sugar, milk, cakes, cooking oil, seasoning powder and VND200,000. The gifts worth a total of nearly VND30 million were donated by the provincial association and the district.

Earlier, the province’s AO victims’ association coordinated with Xuan Loc district offer 100 gifts valued at VND300,000 each to local AO victims living in difficult circumstances.

Giving gifts to AO victims in Long Khanh town

At the same time, Long Khanh district’s Red Cross Chapter held a ceremony to give 87 gifts totaling some VND27 million to AO/dioxin victims in the locality.

Co-op Mark Bien Hoas representatives visited dioxin victims in Dinh Quan district

Co-op Mark Bien Hoa pledged to provide support for five AO victims with especially difficult situations in Dinh Quan district to help improve their living conditions. Accordingly, each victim will receive a monthly support of VND200,000 and 20 kg of rice.

 

On this occasion, the province’s Association of AO Victims presented 550 gifts to the victims in the provincial districts, city and town.
