Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reviews activities in first half

During the past six months, the Committee made significant efforts to help the poor and policy families across the province. Accordingly, the committee in cooperation with organizations and its member agencies mobilized and presented nearly 42,000 gifts worth a total of approximately VND7.5 billion to local poor, elderly people and soldiers.

Especially, the “Day for the Poor” campaign has been organized effectively and raised more than VND3.4 billion to build hundreds of charity houses, provide free medical check-ups and eye surgeries, offer gifts for the poor

In the six remaining months of 2009, the committee will continue to gather and build the block of the great national unity, strive to successfully fulfill the province’s socio-economic tasks.
