UNICEF’s delegation pays working visit to Dong Nai

(ĐN)- The United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF)’s delegation led by Ms. Naira Avetisyan, Unicef Child Protection Officer, paid a working visit to Dong Nai on June 11.

(ĐN)- The United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF)’s delegation led by Ms. Naira Avetisyan, Unicef Child Protection Officer, paid a working visit to Dong Nai on June 11.

Presently, UNICEF is teaming up with Da Nang city in a project to aid physically-challenged children to integrate into society. The organization plans to expand the project to An Giang and Dong Nai provinces.

During their two-day working visit from June 11-12, UNICEF’s delegation had working sessions with Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalid and Social Affairs, vocational training schools and care centers for disabled children in the province. Accordingly, the delegation will set out to help related agencies further improve their capacity and raise public awareness of caring for those disadvantaged children, help children to integrate into society.

Dong Nai has about 3,400 disabled children, including 1,159 AO/dioxin victims.
