(ĐN)- On May 15, the Xuan Loc district’s People Committee held a tree-planting ceremony in Xuan Hoa commune to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 119th birthday (May 19).
On the occasion, 400 trees for timber were planted, covering an area of 1 hectare in the commune.
On the same day, a tree-planting campaign was launched across the district.
According to statistics from the district’s agriculture and rural development office, Xuan Loc district has nearly 11.5 million hectares of forestry land, including 240 hectares of natural forest and the rest of the land is artificial forest.
The district targets to plant 350 new hectares of forests this year.
