(ĐN)- Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga has called for more responsibility in food hygiene and safety at the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Food Quality, Hygiene and Safety on April 15.
The annual event will begin on April 15 and last through May 15, with the aim of strengthening the roles and responsibilities of managers, enterprises and consumers in food safety.

During the month, communication and inspection activities will be strengthened, with participants from all relevant departments and sectors across the province tackling food safety and hygiene issues.
From 2008 to March 2009, three cases of food poisoning were reported in the province, with 895 infections.
