(ĐN)- On April 13, Dinh Quan district held a launch ceremony for the Month of Action for Food Safety and Hygiene Action Month which will last from April 15 to May 15.
The theme for this year’s Action Month is the community’s responsibility to ensure safe and hygienic food.
The Action Month aims to increase the role and responsibility of management agencies, businesses and consumers; preventing food borne illness, food poisoning and any other problems related to food through increasing food hygiene awareness among food manufacturers, processors and vendors.
Dinh Quan was still facing challenges in food safety and hygiene due to poor facilities as well as insufficient knowledge on the subject. Accordingly, the district will strengthen communication activities to improve the knowledge and awareness of organisations and individuals. Besides, many teams have been established to inspect hygienic facilities in food production establishments across the district.
