(ĐN)- About 2,500 outstanding members of youth union of Dong Nai province yesterday gathered in the province’s Sport-Culture Complex to cerebrate the 78th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), which falls on March 26. Also present at the ceremony were Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Vo Van Mot, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee and Bui Ngoc Thanh, Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department.
Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Bui Xuan Thong delivered opening speech at the event and reviewed glorious history of the HCYU. Then, Mr. Bui Xuan Thong called for active response from young people and youth union members in the province to campaigns of building a statue garden in Tran Bien Temple of Literature and “Dong Nai’s youth having deep sentimental attachment to islands and the borders of
Addressing at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong praised achievements young people in Dong Nai made over the past years and urged youth unions at all level to focus on improving their performance and promoting the establishment of teams of youth volunteers who take part in the socio-economic development of the province.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented Ly Tu Trong Award to ten students who have made outstanding achievements in study, training and work.
