Meeting with typical Chinese people in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- On February 4, the Mass Mobilisation Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee in coordination with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities held a meeting with typical Chinese people in Dong Nai.

(ĐN)- On February 4, the Mass Mobilisation Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee in coordination with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities held a meeting with typical Chinese people in Dong Nai. Attending the meeting were Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Vo Van Mot, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Bui Ngoc Thanh, Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department, representatives of local agencies and 156 representatives of typical Chinese people in Dong Nai.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Phuong presented flowers to Mr. Vong Vinh On living in Long Khanh townlet and congratulated him on having received a badge to commemorate his 40 years of Party membership.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Vo Van Mot praised active contributions of the Chinese living in Dong Nai to the development of the province. Local government has provided the most favorable conditions for Chinese communities in Dong Nai to develop their businesses with setting up hundreds of limited liability companies and farms. There are many families among Chinese communities in the province now become well-off and they earned hundreds of millions of dong per year. The living standard of the Chinese people in Dong Nai is improving year by year. The Chairman also urged local governments at all levels to further unite Chinese communities in Dong Nai as well as encourage them to join associations, guilds and unions.

On this occasion, the Chinese community in Bien Hoa city donated VND 20 million to build a house for a mother of the revolutionary martyr in the city and the Sai Gon Giai Phong (Chinese version) awarded scholarships to 20 outstanding poor students in districts of Cam My and Dinh Quan.
