Dong Nai uses first CNG buses

Southern Dong Nai Province put on the streets Viet Nam’s first 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to transport commuters on Saturday.

Southern Dong Nai Province put on the streets Viet Nam’s first 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to transport commuters on Saturday.

The buses are the first of 500 buses that the Sonadezi Company in Dong Nai ordered from Thanh Cong Automobile Group in Ha Noi. Petro Dong Nai will provide the CNG.

One bus is estimated to save about US$8,000 compared with a diesel-fuel bus and is better for the environment.

HCM City and Ha Noi will also start using these buses this year.
