(ĐN)- On January 2, 2009 , Nguyen Chi Cang, aged 3 from Bao Hoa village, Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province underwent a successful surgery at Dong Nai Children’s Hospital to remove a malignant tumour from his abdomen. Cang was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain on December 19, 2008 . The doctors suspected that the patient had a malignant tumour in his abdomen. After a nearly three-hour operation performed by doctors from Dong Nai Children’s Hospital and the HCM City Children’s Hospital 1 on January 2, 2009 , doctors removed a 500gr tumour from his stomach along with a 30-cm length of the small intestine and a part of bladder containing tumoral vascular tissues was separated and removed. The doctors said the patient is recovering well.
