(ĐN)- The Centre for Safe Water and Rural Environmental Hygiene of Dong Nai has invested over VND 15 billon to build a fresh water supply and drainage system with a capacity of 960 cu.m per day in two communes of Phu Binh and Phu Lap in Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province.
The scheme includes drilled wells, pumping stations and pipelines. It is expected that this project will be put into service in July 2009 and will provide safe water for more than 20,000 local people.
So far, the center has helped five communes of Tan Phu district access clean water in order to solve the fresh water shortage problem in rural and remote areas of the province.
