Dong Nai wins high prizes at APICTA 2008

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology once again won prizes at the annual Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Awards (APICTA).

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology once again won prizes at the annual Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Awards (APICTA).

The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held at the Jakarta Convention Centre in Indonesia, on Nov. 15.

Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology’s two winning products were “the combination of VSAT – IP technologies to deliver broadband Internet to remote and rural areas in the province”, which won silver medal and one project developed for the field of information security that took third place in the best products in this field.

Earlier, “None Standard Security Portal (NSSP)” produced by the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology brought home a gold cup from the APICTA 2006.

The 2008 APICTA contest, held in Indonesia from Nov. 11-15, drew participants from 11 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region.

The annual competition, well-known in the Asia-Pacific region, began in 2001 in Malaysia as a way of recognising ICT research, study and application.
