(ĐN)- Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong yesterday had a working session with representatives of related agencies to discuss a plan to use bus service subsidy to transport workers to and from factories located in Bien Hoa city’s industrial parks.
According to the proposal made by the provincial Department of Transport, the plan will be implemented as a pilot in 6 months in Bien Hoa city and the pilot project requires a subsidy of over 1.4 billion VND for nine bus routes that transport workers to and from their jobs. The regular one-way fare will be 2,000 VND, then the monthly fare will be 104,000 VND.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Phuong said that buses should operate at times suitable to workers and the bus fare should be reasonable so that workers would find it convenient to travel by buses.
